... a new look ...

Yeah, it's February ... and this is the time of year I get restless, occasionally depressed and often bored - Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) is the most likely culprit, a common condition in our climate, with our long dark, dreary, rainy days that last into March. Frank has a therapy light, which he uses faithfully every morning and finds to be most helpful. Me? ... I tend to get up to mischief :>)) ... history has had me looking for new career possibilities, going back to school and searching out new life paths to take - such as ttwd DD last year :>))

This year is a good year ... maybe ttwd has something to do with that ... so my self imposed therapy is relatively minor, in that I am revamping my blog look. I am not switching to a new blog app ... meh! ... tried that one a few years ago - not a fan of the other popular option. I am only switching to a new Blogger theme. Part of the inspiration to do so was our new blogger, Shell, and her blog at My Heart. His Hand ... go check out the blog posts she's put up since her launch just over a month ago ... and her great looking blog page, which uses one of the newer Blogger templates.

I am about to 'launch' so if at some point in the next few days, I vanish into the ether of cyberspace, that is why. It will only be temporary ... I shall return :>)) ... nj

  4. All three of my blogs were designed by the lovely and talented CeeCi from my early blogging days. I think the templet she made for Cassie's Space is the prettiest one I've even seen.

So that's why mine don't change. But I love to see changes on other sites.

  5. I had to change mine a couple of months go when Blogger took away my theme..... fortunately, I was able to find a lightening in the dark and grey rainy sky photo...... then I just used that as my background and gave the photo credit. Looking forward to your new look..... glad you're a little less affected by that depressing weather/icky season...probably because you found ALL OF US ! HA! Love ya! Hugs! Windy

  7. Awe! I can't wait to see your new look! So excited for you. But I have to admit, I'm gonna miss that pic at the top of the page. Love those hands. (Oh,and thanks for the shout-out.)

And I totally get the SAD issue. The struggle is real here in the UK. I'm actually researching lamps now for one of my kids. We're all on Vitamin D - it has helped a wee bit, but with this one, I'm thinking they could do with a lamp as well. Frank can really tell a difference then?

    1. Hi Shell ... I loved those hands too but they don't work well with the new theme and besides, not sure the real hand owners ever envisioned being a banner photo for a spanking blog ... lol!

Frank has a weird issue, which the Doc thinks is anxiety related (altho' he doesn't feel anxious) ... it's like his body floods with 'something' and then he feels ill. It is worse in winter, when he has less physical work to do to distract himself ... the light has helped immensely this year ... 20 mins every morning ... can't hurt to try :>) ... nj

  8. Change is good, is my mantra on a regular basis. I think having projects are great mood changers, I hope you have fun planning and putting it all together. I also love the hands at the top of your page but look forward to seeing your new look. Have fun with it!

  9. Hi nora Jean:
Your blog looks great, and makes me realize that I need to do something of the same nature after ten years of same old, same old. Experimenting and changing things helps improve your mood, and if your finances permit, traveling is wonderful to keep one happy and healthy, besides a good dose of spankings.
I might write privately to find out how you made the changes.
As I travel back in your blog, hopefully I will read of some of your spankings.
