Marching on ...

No post this week as I am happily sitting on the sidelines watching the March Questions and Answers season roll by. I don't feel as if I've been around long enough to be an active participant but I am thoroughly enjoying what all of you have to say.

    1. Hi Amy ... I really connected with your response to Bakers question. As a still somewhat on the fence spanko (altho' I'm heading more and more towards the light ;)) ... all those other layers are what I relate to the most ... nj

  2. You have the right idea, Nora Jean. I love to sit back and remain quiet. That is a good way to get to know what speaks to you and what doesn't.

If you can, tell us about how you met your Frank. How old were you? What made you notice him?

    Just wondering,
    Ella

    1. I was young ... 16 but due to life circumstances, a very mature 16. He was older ... nearly 21. I wanted nothing to do with the 'boys' I went to school with so when this 'man', a returning adult student, walked into the first class of the school year, the physical attraction was immediate and intense. He was not large in stature ... my height (I am taller than avg), slim but nicely built and so good looking ... dark, nearly black hair, a full moustache (it was the seventies ;)) and tons of confidence. Yup, I was a goner a first sight :))) ... nj ... xx

  3. Nora Jean,
You are a wise woman. Learn through watching, but do jump in if you find something you want to share.

    Large or small wedding?

    Favorite vacation spot?

    1. Medium sized wedding ... when you both have large families, there isn't a lot of choice. We left fairly early but we heard it was one helluva a party later on, with everyone chipping in to pay the live C&W band to stay longer :))

We don't vacation a lot ... our fave type of vacation is camping/rv'ing. Our favourite vacation destination ever, was a mini trip to Bermuda that I won thru my work.

  5. It is good to sit on the side lines Nora Jean to observe how everything ticks in the land.
My questions for you...what do you always pack when travelling.
Where in the world would you love to live if money wasn't an object?
    Hugs Lindy xx

    1. Hi Lindy! ... when travelling, I always used to pack a book. Now I always pack my iPad where I have hundreds of books and access to an infinite number more.

... I/we would love to visit your part of the world (I couldn't leave my family long enough to 'live' elsewhere). Frank potentially has a number of cousins in Aussieland so we would love to go seek them out. Frank's grandpa was a twin. When the twins left England in the early 1900s, one twin went to Australia and Grampa came here to Canada (yes, if you haven't figured it out by now, I am a Canuck ... I talk like a Yank and spell like a Brit :>)) ... and I also use these nationality terms with the fondest intent ;)) ... nj ... xx

    2. Let me know if you are down my way we could meet up. I'd love to hear your yanky Canuck accent.
      Have a good weekend.

    3. Hi Lindy ... I didn't state that very well :)) .... When I said 'talk' I should have said 'write'. I'm pretty sure my accent is Canadian :)) I love trying to guess what country everyone is from. I can pick a UK writer out pretty quick because they have different names for 'things'. And of course, I knew you were Aussie from your blog name :))) ... North America is a little harder to sort out. We all pretty much 'write' the same style, however, Canadians spell like the rest of the British Commonwealth and Americans, have slightly different spelling conventions ... for example, colour is spelled color, humour is humor and grey is gray.

Or maybe I'm just weird word nerd and no knew else picks up on these things ...LOL!

If I ever do make it to Australia, I will look you up. Note, I said "I" ... fun Frank fact (or in reality not so fun ;)) ... if it takes longer than 5 hrs to fly somewhere, he's not going. He's a white knuckle flyer, who says it's not a fear thing but a control thing. If they'd let him fly the damn plane he'd be fine. ;))) ... nj .. xx

  6. I'm just glad you're here and enjoying it. I'm asking many our here - What is a wish you have for yourself that could really come true?

  7. Nora Jean,
For someone who was going to sit on the fence, I do believe the girls ignored that and dragged you in kicking and screaming. Lol!

My question is what appeals most to you in this lifestyle? How long did you lurk before connecting with other bloggers? How are you enjoying blogging so far?

See now you have aplenty to think on and posts to write simply because everyone asked questions.

  9. Thanks all, for including me in the fun ... I will answer the rest of the questions as soon as I can. The kiddos have gone away for a few days so I am looking after the three grandboys ... by the time they're back, I might need a couple of bottles of recuperation time :))) ... nj ... xx
