A Quickie to end the month ...

I am working on a couple of longish, related posts that I may not finish this week so I'm posting this quickie to end the month of February ... and our first month here, in the land of ttwd/dd ...

We were having a 'what are you watching on Netflix' conversation with friends last year when we first heard about the series, Outlander. I'd never read any of Diane Gabaldon's books or heard anything about the show at all prior to that conversation. Our friends told us, if you can get your head around and past the time travel thing, it's a great series. So we started watching and we were instantly hooked.

When we got to 'the scene' ... yeah, I know you know the one, especially if you're a Spanko ... and if you don't, well I'll include a link to the clip, if I can find one ...

.... anywhooo, right before IT happened, and before I realized or even had a clue as to was happening, Frank, very casually, said, 'he's gonna spank her' ... me, quick head swivel towards him and then just as quick back to the tv ....
 ".... 'whaaat?' ... 'ohh wow! ... Ohhh yeahhh!' ...."

See, as I told him last week, my man Frank has instincts he just needs to tap into ...
I've put this clip on repeat a few times ... how about you?

  1. Of course, I have played this clip before! Many times. But I love that whole episode and the one before it. Season One was my favorite, and I think this happened at the start of Season Two.

Think it is about time to introduce you to a wonderful set of books, starting with Cassie's Space by PK Corey. Download it to your Kindle, and you will find you cannot get anything done until you finish. Then there are 9 more!

  4. Hi Ella and Jan ... I am living in Corbin's Bend right now with Cassie's Space all lined up in my tbr list ... I was so excited to find a whole new genre of erotic romance when I found ttwd/DD ... thank-you both for these and any other book recommendations.

PK and I had a bit of an exchange on her blog re her books. Unfortunately she is having an issue with her comments getting lost in cyberspace when she tries to comment on mine ... not sure why ... nj ... xx

  5. I’ve only watched the first episode of Outlander. When it eventually came to non-subscription TV in the UK it was on at an awkward time for me. I’ve seen the clip a few times though!

    1. Hi Rosie ... we binge watched the first couple of seasons via Netflix and the last season on regular TV. I liked the first couple of seasons the best. Hope you get a chance at some point to enjoy some of the series ... nj ... xx

  6. Nora Jean,

There is nothing quite like episode #1 of the second season. Your Frank knew exactly what was going to happen and sure enough, Claire gets herself walloped.
Great post after a full day at the beach for me.........

  9. Hi Nora Jean, I must be one of few who have heard of Outlander but not read the books or seen the show. I agree with the others about PK's Tom and Cassie and the Corbin's Bend books.

  10. We’ve enjoyed Outlander since the beginning, but that scene is definitely a winner. Thanks for posting it. I think Franks instincts are being fine tuned as you work your way around ttwd, that man has radar! Glad you’re enjoying the series along with your great reading list!

  12. Hi there, I had never seen this clip but thoroughly enjoyed it. I found it particularly amusing how all the men at the end were commenting on what took place. I know there was a time that punishing your wife was accepted and I understand the reason that time came to an end. But when it's consensual - it's too bad we have to hide what works for us.
