Tangled Up in You

For many years, it was our tiny house, our tiny bed, where I learned to sleep ....

Tangled up with you

Moved on to a bigger house, needed a bigger bed, but it was still small enough that I could be ....

Tangled up with you

Soon everything was super sized, including beds ... a King moved in ... strange how easy it was, to no longer be ....

Tangled up with you

A new day, a new journey .... what do you think, babe? .... I think I want to be ....

Tangled up with you

..... we're off bed shopping today ... and we're downsizing ....

Very soon, again I will be ....

Tangled up in you 💘

  1. Nora Jean,
I am with you there. I get lost in king sized beds. What's the point when I immediately find Jack and nestle right in all tangled up. We have a queen sized bed and I love it. Want to hear what you and Frank purchase.

    2. Hi Meredith ... We've had our eye on a queen set that went on sale this week. Frank originally wanted to go back to a double which is what we had for the first 18 yrs of our marriage. However, we are not as skinny as we were way back then so I've convinced him to go with the Queen size :>)
Lately, I have been deliberately crossing the great King bed divide, trying to stay by his side all night. It's seems to be working as we both are sleeping better so now it's time to make the change ... nj

    1. Hi Rosie ... For us, hotelling usually meant a queen bed, where we found we immediately gravitated back to our old tangled up sleeping habits ... nj

    1. Hi Laurel ... it was a successful shopping day ... queen it is. Unfortunately, living in a small town means a week delay in delivery so no new bed tryouts until next week ;) ... nj

  6. Sounds like the story of Goldie Locks and the Three Bears. First it was too small, then it was too big, and now it will be just right.

Queen is just perfect for us. I will never go back to a full size bed ever!!

  10. Hi NoraJean, :) Happy Valentine's Day, and Happy Bed Shopping too! When Rob and I downsized, two years ago now, we ditched out king sized bed, and bought a queen. The king one served us well in years past, should one of our kids have a nightmare or something. No longer the case, we too wanted to be a whole lot closer! Cute post! May you have many tangled up nights together! Many hugs,

    <3 Katie

    1. Hi Katie ... I think our time of extra bodies in the bed is at an end. Also, this king is a bit old and has become quite uncomfortable which means we are very excited on a couple of fronts about the new bed arrival next Weds :>) ... nj

  11. In the winter I'd be happy with the two of us in a single bed. When I get hot, however, I like the space in a queen.

    1. Hi PK ... so nice to hear from you. Yeah, I get ya ... if it weren't for the sweats, I'd be glued to his side all night. However, a good thing ... after 10 yrs of menoP, they don't come quite so often ... nj

  13. Hello again, Ronnie ... nice to meet you. It seems, from everyone's comments, most ttwd couples sleep in doubles or queens. I can understand why.
Glad you liked the Tangled pics. Part of the fun of putting a post together, is finding the right images to go with it ... tty again soon ... nj

  14. I love this sweet post, NJ! We have a queen. Storm lets me put my cold feet on his every night. LOL! He likes to fall asleep with me rubbing his arm or holding his hand in HIS bed. hehe

    1. I love bum rubs the best :>) we do very much enjoy our new bed. It's a bit higher than our other one but Frank says it's the perfect height ... for many things :>)) ... nj ... xx

    2. LOL! The reverse spoon is called a bum rub, huh? That works for me! Will be sharing that one with Storm. I think we may have similar beds as it truly is the perfect height for all those things here at our house, too! Too funny!
